In order to provide transparent and successful library experiences and services, the Communication, Circulation, and Donation policies described here are in effect during Responsible Reopening of E.M. White Library (1 March 2021 - TBD).
Phase 3 Responsible Reopening services are limited to LPTS students, faculty, staff only
Communications:
Librarians strive to respond as quickly as possible to email and online requests and will respond usually within 24 hours. However, requests received by email after 5 pm on Saturdays may not be answered until the following Monday. The library is closed on Sabbath, our Day of Rest.

Circulation Policies (effective Spring 2021 but now under revision for Summer 2021)
Currently, during Safe and Responsible Reopening of the Building, library materials are circulated only to LPTS students, faculty, and staff (i.e. employees).
For Students - Loan Periods & Renewal Limits
Students may borrow books from the circulating collection, student lending library, and physical print textbook reserves. Separate policies apply for the Reserve materials as described below.
Circulating Collection and Student Lending Library Print Books - A maximum of 5 items may be borrowed daily. A total number of 75 books may be borrowed. The loan period is 28 days.
Laptop Computers - Available to students first. The loan period is until May 15, 2021. Laptops may be recalled - that is, asked to return - if demand exceeds available laptops. No renewal.
For Employees - Loan Periods and Renewal Limits
Items may be borrowed from the circulating collections for 90 days. A maximum of 75 items may be borrowed. Only 5 items per time.
Recalls - A book may be recalled from a borrower after it has been checked out for two weeks (sooner if the recalled item is to be placed on reserve). Recalled items must be returned within three days of the recall notice.
Fines - Fines were waived during the first year of the COVID19 pandemic but were resumed on April 20, 2021. Please, return overdue books and books that you no longer need. Thank you!
Citation Policy
Citations in scholarly papers should follow Seminary standards, which are based on these guides:

Donations:
The library is unable to accept donations from the public community at this time. LPTS faculty, staff, and students who wish to donate books and other materials ot the archives / museum should contact Ms. Bobi Bilz, Admin Coordinator (bbilz at lpts dot edu).
