Publishers and vendors are opening up access to previously restricted/paid materials in the light of this unprecedented situation; students now have free access to some textbooks through 05/25/20 (we found our Research Methods course texts are all available here). There are Bible commentaries from several series, Bible handbooks, and dictionaries, and other resources. Plenty of books on the Black Church, Ethics, and Womanist thought. MFT students will find books on Family Therapy and specific issues like divorce, addiction, and family violence. Access details are given below and attached as an image file on the side.

Free Access Details to Books via Redshelf during #HealthyAtHome
Redshelf Responds is an initiative with publishers that allows students in qualifying institutions to borrow up to SEVEN (7) textbooks for free! The books will be available through 5/25/20 (May 25, 2020).
1. Go to: https://studentresponse.redshelf.com/.
2. Search for your book by title or ISBN – see example for a Research Methods course text taught by Sue Garrett and Anita Coleman. Example: • The Craft of Research – ISBN 9780226239736 • https://studentresponse.redshelf.com/search/?terms=9780226239736
3. When you find a book, click on the title or View Details and you will be taken to a log in screen. If this is your first time visiting this page, choose Create an Account at the bottom of the login box.
4. Fill in the form with your information. Be sure to choose the Seminary’s name “Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary” from the drop-down menu.
5. Read the Terms of Use and the Privacy Notice and click on Create Account
6. Once you are logged in you can download up to 7 books. They will be yours through May 25.
Students can also access the ebooks without logging in but must use their institutional email and here’s the directions for that! See details in screenshot below.
